Hindu housewives have 11% of the world gold. That's more than the reserves of the United States, Switzerland, Germany and the International Monetary Fund put together - this is interesting ifact (I don't know if this is true;)) I found when I was looking for some information about my favorite metal :)
Gold has always aroused great emotions, was a synonym of wealth, beauty and power. Regardless of time and place is permanent, almost indestructible and acceptable form of capital. Some people love gold, others hate it. However, it has always fascinated people, and many times gold was the hero of many stories in the history of the world. Aurophobia it's probably the fear of gold, certainly it does not concern me ;) To be honest? I have a great weakness for gold .. what can I say ... I love gold :) Of course, shown with style and class. I like gold-ons inside, I really like gold jewelry, gold accents in fashion, and of course in the art. As I mentioned to you in my first post, I traveled a lot in Asia. As you know, the Chinese people love gold, so I saw the gold many times, in many different versions and places. This inspired me very much and came home with the idea of creating paintings with a golden color. Recently, I created a whole collection of "Touch of Gold" exclusively for Mint Grey boutique. But before I found the method and technique that satisfied me, was a lot of trial and testing.
My first golden painting was created at the beginning of 2015, however, I was not completely satisfied with the result, acrylic or oil paint gold. Besides gold paint, the art also using gilding, which is included in the painting techniques, but today is as a separate crafts. Gilding was used for easel painting, the frescoes. in polychrome sculptures, but not acting separately decorative arts. Gilding was and is still commonly used in sacred art, in later periods also in the interiors of the palace, the stucco decorations, frames, sculptures and furniture parts. So I began to experiment with gold foil and gold leaf, which finally I covered the whole painting, and with a special technique of applying I created subtle patterns (for me it looks like a frozen glass, which I remember from the time of my childhood, when the frost painted flowers in the windows during the winter;) )
On the market you can find many different types of gold leaf. The most popular is schlagmetal(gold foil) this is similar to the real gold leaf but made with alloy of copper and zinc in different proportions, is thicker than the gold leaf. Production of gold leaf developed with the art of gilding, but it isn’t known who first invented a way to manually coating surfaces smallest possible amount of gold. It’s known that the least recently used the gold flakes were Egyptians for about 2,600 years BC. Gold leafs are prepared by rolling and patting gold bars.
Gold leaf was used by Gustav Klimt in his artworks (he is one of my favorite artists;)). Paintings like "Adele Bloch-Bauer" (1907) (or "The Kiss" I think are known for everybody. These artoworks have been created during the "Golden Age" - a period of Klimt's fascination with gold. Many of his painting, which he created at that time was decorated with gold leafs. Probably their popularity also stems from the use of this technique. On the one hand, gold is associated with the realm of the mystical, religious association, on the other hand, has real value and high price.
In my first post I wrote you that a few years ago, I tried to be in the fashion industry, and I created the brand bags, which were inspired fashion Hong Kong therefore had glowing colors and textures. One of the bags that I have left from that time is the gold clutch, which I still have and like :)
And at the end of the question - where does gold come from? Gold is extraterrestrial material. In spite of common knowledge, veins of gold is not "born" in the chemical reactions inside the Earth's crust. Gold was founded in space, would then be "embedded" in the Earth. When the Earth consisted of more liquid magma (4.5 billion years ago), the heaviest elements sank inside her. It is estimated, however, that gold, which is currently in the earth's crust, mantle and reached the planet later - during the so-called. Great Bombing (four billion years ago), when a huge meteorite hit the planet, containing among other rare elements. Earth excavated to date more than 166 600 tons of gold. This represents only 20 percent trapped in the earth's crust resources of this metal.
And how about you, do you like gold? :)
